Electronics: And you thought this was the Customer Service Dept?
Hi there! You have reached my homepage, you are about to experience a cross between the Twilight Zone and.....well lets not go there just yet . When I am not in Vienna, Austria working on my condensed matter theory, I am either fishing off the coast of Florida, working for my good friends at MM Internet or biking. I am currently working on completing my Computer Science degree at University of California: Santa Cruz. If your really bored, you can see the World's Smallest Bedroom (NOTE: I don't live here anymore thank god!). However, as of late due to changes in my life and how things run I may be finishing my degree up at California State University at Long Beach. I have also been known to associate myself with the Smogmobile 2000 and go on heinous Road Trips when I have nothing to do. To see some photos of me click on the first link of "'s World".
Well, if your still reading this page after the warning you are either : A. A fan of really cheesy & campy movies OR B. A glutton for punishment. I am a fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000, Japanese animation, Dilbert, and Flash Gordon. I've been known to answer questions for the All-Seeing Oracle. As of lately, any spare or free time I have is now spent at home living like a hermit. Oh yeah, I also work on computers a lot. Want to see my computer? Care to see the cave I used to live in?
Did I mention that I was an ordained priest? You too can now become a priest! All you have to do is go to the Universal Life Church and fill out their forms and print out the certificate and BAM! you are a priest. Just think of it, you can pardon your friends from sin with the wave of an arm!
Besides working with computers, I also happen to collect laserdiscs and now DVDs as well. For those of you who don't know what laserdiscs are, imagine a CD the size of a vinyl record, that is a laserdisc. They can hold either 30 minutes per side, or 60 minutes per side, depending on the way the disc is made. I currently collect various Japanese anime on disc, namely Robotech, Tenchi Muyo, Golden Boy, and Macross Plus. I also collect recent movies as well as older classics, such as Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammo, Flash Gordon, Hexed, and Heavy Metal. Every now and then I hold a movie night at the house here on the Sound System of DoomTM which was made possible by a loan from the International Bank of Robert Menke. I recently upgraded the Sound System of DoomTM to a Dolby Digital setup, its very nice and I highly recommend it if you enjoy watching movies at home. (11/18/97 NOTE: The day I buy a DVD drive is the day Divx dies as a standard and the DVD Consortium starts to act as a consortium, not a bunch of competing companies who all think their idiosyncratic implementations of DVD are the One True DVD Format)(1/14/99: I bought a DVD player, down with DIVX, long live DVD now where the hell is my Star Wars Special Edition DVD set!)
For the un-initiated, I drive a black '96 Honda Civic Hatchback a.k.a. The Flashmobile. The Flashmobile was UN-officially christened by his Holiness of Wackiness, Robert Menke sometime around the same time I purchased Flash Gordon on laserdisc. It also helped that he put this positively HUGE sign saying Flash A-Ah! on the windshield of my car. At the time of purchase of the disc, I had challenged him to buy Barbarella(another B movie classic) on laserdisc, he declined the challenge and started to seizure. Some other "good" movies to watch are: The Forbidden Zone, Leech Woman, The Thing That Wouldn't Die, and of course Manos: The Hands of Fate. WARNING:If you watch any of these movie alone, or without the sanitation of Best Brains, Inc you will suffer severe hemorrhaging, epileptic seizures and/or convulsions and could possible rupture your spleen or other vital internal organs. If you do watch these aforementioned films with the company of others, you will still be afflicted in the same way, you'll just be sharing the pain with others. =)
To those who don't know me very well, or just have been living under a rock
for the past few years, I tend to be somewhat opinionated about many
things. Here are some rants and raves of mine:
